Get the most out of your Mark I coal stove by staying up-to-date on maintenance and care. Some maintenance activities you can perform include:

• Inspecting and cleaning the glass with a non-abrasive cleaner weekly
• Inspect the firebox monthly for any build-up of ash or creosote on or in the baffle and exhaust area.
• Checking the door and gaskets every heating season
• Inspecting all venting components for blockages, build-up, or debris and checking stove body for cracks every heating season

A certified hearth professional can help inspect your venting and clean all other needed elements. Always be sure your appliance is off and completely cooled before performing any maintenance.
